We’ve traveled to Gmunden, Traunkirchen, Bad Ischl, Wolfgang, Strobl, Gosau, Hallstatt, and Wachau, and we truly loved each of these places. The charm of these towns, with their stunning lakes, mountains, and rich cultural heritage, made the experience unforgettable.

The western region of Austria offers some of the country’s most picturesque landscapes, with charming towns and serene lakes. Gmunden, Traunkirchen, and Bad Ischl exude classic Austrian charm with their lakeside views and historic architecture. Hallstatt, often called one of the most beautiful villages in the world, captivates visitors with its dramatic mountain backdrop. Nearby, Wolfgang, Strobl, and Gosau offer beautiful hiking trails and alpine scenery, while the Wachau Valley is known for its vineyards and rolling hills along the Danube River. This region is a perfect blend of nature, culture, and history.
