I visited Rio de Janeiro, one of the most breathtaking cities in the world, known for its stunning coastline, lush mountains, and vibrant culture. Exploring the city alone was an exciting adventure, full of unforgettable experiences. One of the highlights was watching a Flamengo match at Maracanã Stadium, an electrifying experience in one of the most iconic football arenas. I even managed to get my ticket on the black market, adding a bit of thrill to the event.

During my stay, I met two Turkish expats from Germany, and together, we visited the famous Christ the Redeemer statue, standing majestically above the city. On the way, we passed the colorful Selarón Steps, one of Rio’s most artistic landmarks. Driving through the city, I also got a glimpse of the favelas, a striking contrast to the glamorous parts of Rio.

For an authentic Brazilian dining experience, I stopped at Nova Capella Restaurant, known for its traditional dishes and lively atmosphere. I also made my way to Santa Teresa, a charming hilltop neighborhood with incredible views of the city, adding to Rio’s magical allure. The mix of nature, football, and vibrant city life made my time in Rio truly unforgettable.
