From Budva, I traveled by taxi with a friendly doctor couple I met to Ohrid, North Macedonia. I immediately fell in love with the city—its residents were warm and welcoming, and the streets were remarkably orderly and picturesque.

I enjoyed a fresh fish meal at a local restaurant and was lucky enough to catch a festival at the ancient Ohrid Theater, watching a nighttime performance that added a magical touch to the historic setting. Later, I found a serene spot surrounded by forest along Lake Ohrid and went for a refreshing swim, soaking in the natural beauty.

I also explored the Plaošnik complex, a lakeside historical site with breathtaking views of the water. Standing there, overlooking the lake with the reflections of the city and mountains around me, I felt the perfect blend of history, nature, and peaceful charm that makes Ohrid so special.
