Hiroshima, located in western Japan, is a city marked by resilience and remembrance. It gained tragic global attention in 1945 when the United States dropped the first atomic bomb, devastating the city and causing unimaginable loss. Today, Hiroshima stands as a symbol of peace, with its Peace Memorial Park serving as a somber reminder of the horrors of nuclear warfare. Nearby, Miyajima Island offers a contrasting serenity, famous for its “floating” torii gate and ancient shrines, blending natural beauty with spiritual significance. Together, Hiroshima and Miyajima embody both the sorrow and strength of Japan’s history. Hiroshima is a city I would like to go to again. It was a chance to go there with blooming season.
