Chios Island, part of Greece’s North Aegean region, offered us a perfect mix of tradition, scenery, and cuisine. We stayed at a hotel in Lithi Bay, which served as a relaxing base for our explorations.

With a rental car, we easily explored the island. Dining at To Asteri was a highlight—a true paradise for food lovers with dishes that perfectly suited our taste. We visited the medieval villages of Mesta and Pyrgi, wandering through their narrow streets and admiring the unique architecture.

At the Chios Mastic Museum, we learned about the island’s legendary resin production, a tradition that has lasted for centuries. Plenty of time was spent swimming along the coast and enjoying fresh local delicacies, making this trip a delightful mix of culture, history, and gastronomy.
