Barcelona, located on the northeastern coast of Spain, is a city where art, history, and lively street culture meet. I had the chance to explore some of its most famous landmarks and hidden gems during my visit.

One of the highlights was Tibidabo, where I climbed up to see the Temple of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, offering panoramic views of the entire city. I also admired Casa Milà from the outside and, of course, couldn’t miss the world-famous Sagrada Família, a masterpiece of Antoni Gaudí that truly defines Barcelona’s unique architectural style.

Walking down La Rambla, the city’s bustling street, I tried octopus, a delicious local specialty. My brother’s army friend, Emin, joined me as we explored the Barcelona Cathedral and the historic Plaça del Rei, soaking in the medieval charm of the city center. Later, we walked along the beachfront, visited the Magic Fountain, and saw the Columbus Monument, all reflecting Barcelona’s rich history and vibrant life.

I also explored Park Güell, another of Gaudí’s wonders, famous for its colorful mosaics, whimsical designs, and street art influences. One detail that fascinated me were the bird nests integrated into the park’s structures, showing how nature and architecture beautifully coexist.

A truly unforgettable experience was watching Barcelona vs. Juventus, which ended 3-0. Seeing Messi and Iniesta score live was absolutely surreal—it’s one of the best moments of my life to witness Messi in action on his home turf.

Barcelona is a city that blends creativity, culture, and excitement seamlessly, leaving memories of art, football, and lively streets that will stay with me forever.
