After Düsseldorf, we headed to Amsterdam. By the time we arrived, it was already late, but we still managed to go to the city center and see the famous Red Light District. Of course, we couldn’t miss trying the well-known fries at Manneken Pis Damrak.

The next day, we explored more of the city. We stopped by Eetcafé Rosereijn, where we tried the classic Dutch snack bitterballen. We also spent some time relaxing in Vondelpark, and later sat down for coffee at the unique Proeflokaal ’t Blauwe Theehuis café. One of the highlights was at Winkel 43, where we enjoyed their legendary Dutch apple pie.

We dedicated almost an entire day to visiting Keukenhof Gardens, world-famous for its endless fields of tulips and colorful floral displays. Another memorable excursion was to Zaanse Schans, where we saw traditional windmills and learned about Dutch heritage.

The tour also took us to Volendam, a charming fishing village. There, we visited a cheese factory and enjoyed fresh seafood at De Lunch, where I tried the local specialty kibbeling (fried fish bites). We also stopped at Woltje’s Backerij, where I had a thin, freshly made stroopwafel.

Finally, we visited Marken, a picturesque island village known for its wooden houses and maritime history. It was the perfect way to experience the traditional charm of the Netherlands beyond Amsterdam.
