After Kuta, I flew to Bangkok, a bustling city full of contrasts. One of the first highlights was visiting Amphawa Floating Market, where vendors sell fresh produce, street food, and souvenirs directly from their boats. The colors, smells, and energy were incredible.
Later, I joined a tour that took us to see fireflies at night — a magical natural spectacle along the river. During this same tour, we visited Wat Bang Kung, a temple famous for its numerous statues of martial arts figures, combining spiritual significance with local cultural heritage.
Another iconic stop was the Mae Klong Railway Market, where the train passes astonishingly close to the market stalls. Watching the vendors quickly move their goods out of the way as the train rumbles through was a thrilling experience.
Back in central Bangkok, I visited Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimon Mangkhalaram Rajwaramahawihan (commonly known as Wat Pho), home of the famous Reclining Buddha, located along Phra Chetuphon Road. The temple’s grandeur and the sheer size of the golden Buddha left a lasting impression.
