I visited Vienna in June 2023, a city that perfectly blends imperial history with a vibrant modern atmosphere. One of the highlights of my trip was attending a rock festival at Donaupark, where the energy and music created an unforgettable experience. Following a recommendation from my childhood friend, I enjoyed a delicious schnitzel at Gasthaus Kopp, a local favorite known for its authentic Viennese cuisine.

In the morning, I joined a free walking tour, which took us through some of Vienna’s most iconic sites. We explored Volksgarten, where we heard the fascinating story behind its beautiful roses, and ended the tour at the Mozart Monument, a fitting tribute to the city’s rich musical heritage. Along the way, I also learned about the origins of the croissant, which dates back to the Ottoman siege of Vienna.

After immersing ourselves in Vienna’s history, we rented a car and set off toward Western Austria, ready for the next adventure. Before leaving, we stopped by Café Central, a historic café that once hosted great minds like Freud and Trotsky, indulging in its elegant atmosphere and legendary pastries. Vienna left a lasting impression with its rich history, culture, and timeless charm.
